Makin it rain
Unintentionally sexually suggestive cartoons. This is why the Internet was created.
You know what’s more annoying than her being very bright and still being constantly insulted, demeaned, and shafted? The fact that nobody will come out and say “sorry, Misa, we underestimated you!” You know what’s even MORE annoying? The fact that her intelligence is set on a sliding scale that changes when it is and isn’t convenient. Wonderful writing, let me tell you.
I think with this whole SJC shit here on tumblr that you are taking this way too seriously, personally. Misa was totally and completely undervalued, yes, but you have to remember that she was placed between two fucking GENIUSES. Light and L undervalue EVERYONE around them, not just her. Fuck.
Um, no? Soichiro Yagami wasn’t a ~genius~ but he was treated with the utmost respect by the cast and the narrative. That obviously isn’t the reason she’s being undervalued, but okay.
You are naming one person. Strong argument.
Let me tell you how much Light respects his father. He doesn’t even fucking CARE when he dies. He’s more concerned and pissed off that Mello got away. L may have respected him and the rest of the his family/police force, but not Light.
I usually don’t get into these sort of feminist arguments because I see things from both sides and I have better things to do with my time than to argue about how this show is sexist, but your views on it are seriously fucking flawed. So now, I’ll school you on it, k?
Misa Amane is treated badly because of her obsession with Light. NOT BECAUSE SHE IS FEMALE. She is a nuisance in truth and gets in the way of the investigation at times when she’s not actually trying to help. Talking about dates and complaining. But she is relatable in that way.A lot of young females are like that and have sacrificed themselves for the sake of love, causing them a lot of heartache. She’s a metaphorical character. I’m sure if she was given more time, and I know a lot of Death Note fans agree, she wouldn have eventually grew up, realized she was better than this shit, and told Light to take a hike. But that is not the type of story it is. It’s a story about a fucking notebook of Death and a guy with a fucking God complex toward EVERYONE AROUND HIMMMMMMM. He lied to and manipulates EVERYONE without sexual discrimination.L does as well. He was not as bad as Light, however. He gives respect where it is due. Let’s get into the strong women of Death Note now.
Back to Misa and while we’re on L so I can segue, L has no respect for Misa for the same reason Light doesn’t. Not because she is a girl, but because she is a killer who murdered innocent people to pull her little stunt to meet Kira at the news station. She is selfish and dangerous, which they both know and which is why they don;t treat her better. Those who don’t know that about her LOVE HER. Like Light’s family andf her audience.. Mastuda, lol (who isn’t treated well, himself, and he has a fucking PENIS)
I’m not beating up on Misa though, I love her, and again, she is relatable, because I’ve sacrified and done stupid, stupid shit for love before, too. It’s not real life, so I don’t hold it against her. I take it for what is is. She is a very strong character and a lot of us SEE that. We’re shown it. She is the first to track down KiRA for fuck’s sake. She tricks Higuchi into revealing himself as Kira. She’s very clever and capable!
You’re focusing too much on her since she is the main female. There are other strong, beloved females in Death Note.
Naomi Misora. HIGHLY RESPECTED BY L. And Light even acknowledged her capabilities, which is why he had to kill her.
Kiyomi Takada: Went to the same university as Light, so yeah, highly fucking intelligent and exuded confidence. But she, just like all the other characters, male or female, was disposable.
Halle Lidner: Part of Near’s fucking SPK and Takada’s body guard. Almost takes Misa out. Strong HBIC.
And the ever supportive Sachiko Yagami. Respected highly by Soichiro and a strong, capable and loving wife and mother. Unfortunately, her son was the most manipulative cunt on the planet. Again, TO EVERYONE.
So as you can see, YOUR ARGUMENT IS FUCKING INVALID. WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT? Shove your feminist bullshit. You just need something to fucking complain about.
Wrong, wrong, wrooonnngggg~ Misa is deliberately written to be clingy and annoying because her character isn’t allowed to grow properly, end of story. She’s only main female in a huge, very unlikable cast, so of course I’m going to focus on her.
You literally have no idea what you’re talking about and I’m getting some serious secondhand embarrassment just glancing over your shitty text wall.
You didn’t read it because you are a self important, ignorant cuntbag. People are allowed to give their views on things and you won’t even listen to the Canon points I offered, which makes you an ignorant fucking cuntbag. Have fun arguing your life away over bullshit that makes you look like a twat.
Woah there man I think you might want to calm down and drink some jasmine tea, you’re getting just a lil heated. :)
What part of “I ain’t even mad” in the tags didn’t you understand.
What sort of mindless drivel is this? Really, person? You belligerently call someone a “cuntbag” multiple times, then have the nerve to call them a troll, and continue acting as if you’re somehow more intelligent or have the moral high ground here?
You’re ridiculous, your argument is ridiculous, and everything about this bullshit you’ve started is ridiculous. Grow up. Stop throwing a hissy fit that someone didn’t read your moronic novel you wrote in response to their liveblog. People are entitled to their
stupid and misinformedopinions, yes, but guess what? :) OP is by no means obligated to read your comments, and pitching such a whiny tantrum like that just smacks of a two year old screeching and stomping their feet and crying because they aren’t getting their way. You’re really pathetic.
"Most of the intelligence community doesn’t believe he exists. The ones that do call him the ｡*:★Kawaii Soldier★:*｡. He’s an adorable ghost, you’ll never find him.”
Vampire Savior, arcade.
And I say hey, what a wonderful time to play
So far, I have been enjoying the Adventures of Business Cat a great deal, possibly more than is appropriate for an adult human. (All of these are from the webcomic Happy Jar)
UPDATE: Now with more Business.
